Quiet little air purifierI could buy a second for my home office. As another critic mentoned is a bit noisey at the top, but the second parameter (which seems powerful enough for my needs) has a pleasant hum that acts as a white noice. It has a nice design stable ... because it defines the place and downs, my cats have not been tempted to try to push it over (some air purifiers is a bit too much like cat scratching posts). Instructions on how to use and clean are easy to follow. I'm not sure what the ionizer is supposed to do, I have not used this feature, but so far it seems to be sleeping with her best race I've been without it, so I guess he does ts job. No complaints so far.

Great small air purifier
We bought it to replace a larger round of Honeywell who burned the motor bearings. We have a room reserved for small parrots, and they produce a lot of hair so we do not spread to the rest of the house. Our old Honeywell has worked well, but it was difficult to clean and strong enough. This news is much quieter, and works as well, filtering a large amount of dander from the air. It is much easier to clean, and the fact that no filter never needs replacing, was a major reason for our purchase. It works without, but it is practically imperceptible. We tried several air purifiers over the years, which is by far the best we've had.

I got this because of the overwhelming positive feedback inspired. Delivery was fast speed of light and the unit worked mostly OK, but, like other commentators, I hate the instruction booklet.
OK, the device is already formed but you need to pre-filter before starting the unit in place. It's actually a very easy thing to do, but it becomes very confusing very fast when you try to follow the instructions in the booklet of shit. You do not need to take the top off (contrary to instructions). You really need to put black Velcro-looking strip along the inside bottom of the device (This will become clear once you watch the thing.)
The other problem is that after a couple of weeks, we all began to notice a "wet dog smell in the air. Not terribly shocking, but not aromatic either. We had the house professionally cleaned, so I knew that stinks all potentials have been assumed. On a sniff 'n' research, I found that Honeywell was the culprit - stinking my house clean! I took the thing apart, looking for the problem. Nothing found, it was completely clean. The filter itself has no smell but the air being expelled was terrible. I found that if I turned to the lowest it has disappeared (or became noticeable), but after several hours of moderate or high, the performance phantom smell.
Ideas??
Other than that, it's a very good unit and not strong at all. At the top you notice more, but my children successfully cover it with screaming, yelling, laughing, arguing, etc.
As for cleaning the air, I do notice cooking odors from leaving the area down, faster and easier for our asthmatic sleeps at night. So, I recommend it yet, but if I had to buy another, I might try a different model.

Let me start by saying that I suffer from being allergic to cigarette smoke and my husband and I live in an apartment complex closed. This is compounded by the fact that the door does not seal against the frame and smoke leaks into our apartment hallway with other smells and odors. Now, let me add that my husband suffers from severe allergies and takes medication daily for his condition. Did I mention that we have two cats and a pug. Life was miserable in our apartment with 2 bedrooms 2 bathrooms, up to this little puppy appeared. It's like the picture described as a barrel, the function of Nice in this respect is the Intelli, this little feature tells you when to change filters and it is very easy to just drop predefined filters on the HEPA filter and are held in place by two pieces of Velcro. They need to be changed about two months ever, but, perhaps more than normal because of our pets. But since we have the first for the show, we've added one more to the bedroom. Now, you walk through our hallway gagging on the track and smells, but once you open the door you are greeted by the quality of a smell and noise filter cleaning. Well it's a bit much, but do not be discouraged. Wait until you get home and turn at full speed. It is a bit noisy but when you go to the height, you can feel the suction in the air all around the unit. Then the newly cleaned air is pushed through the top of the camera in a circle around the device. It really does clean the square footage it claims. Now I have to complain about the smoke in our apartment and my husband also likes less pressure sinus and nose. We have done our homework on it and read all about the Honeywell 50250. Before we decided to buy and we were glad we did.

Works great as it should
Simply use a night and I slept great, and I could feel the difference in air quality as I had the best night's sleep I've had in years. Those complaining about noise: You must be comparing it to the Ionic Breeze has no engine fan motor. Not HEPA barely move any air at all, and only effective way to clean the air in the small area of the unit itself. To move air in a supermarket, you need a fan and a fan makes a noise. I fell asleep with the unit over the medium term, on the bottom, I actually found it too quiet setting, because I live in Chicago and there is always noise going on outside - in the medium term, is still fairly quiet good enough to block all the city sounds outside. It sounds like an air conditioner or fan, it is nice. If you want to sleep in complete silence, then Ionic Breeze could be done for you (even if it is inefficient to clean the air effectively). Before this camera I had a 401 and Hunter replacement filters are expensive, not to mention the motor burnout problems I had in the long term. I could feel the difference in air quality within hours of the race from above compared to the 401 Hunter.

As someone who is very allergic to cigarette smoke and other air pollutants and irritants, I purchased a Honeywell HEPA air filter tower at its first entry into the market several years ago. It also works well in the living room, but it is quite noisy, even on its lowest setting.
This year I bought another Honeywell air cleaner with a HEPA filter (Model 17400) for my room because I had contacted bacterial pneumonia last year and I wanted to make sure I did not catch it again. Then I bought this Honeywell 17000 Air filter (HEPA) for use in a small room that was converted into a home office and library.
These air purifiers really work! This winter, I have not had a cold or flu. In addition, the Honeywell air purifier with a HEPA filter is soft murmur, and I had no problems with sleeping, working, reading, watching television or listening to music when it is running on low and medium parameters. I leave all the time, and I found it cleans the air better when the door is closed.
It has a convenient handle on top, so I can move it to another room quite easily. In addition, it is light enough that I can take it with me in the car if I want to use away from home.
The prefilter lasts about 3-6 months, (and they can be vacuumed often if you have pets who shed). "I change my HEPA filter every year, but you can wait three years to do so. These filters are easy to change. The model 17000 is a smaller room, and model 17400 is a larger space.
Highly recommended for anyone who has pets, who lives with or amuse people who smoke and who is allergic to dust, mold, pollen or.
